Bluespotted Ribbontail Ray “Pagi” (Taeniura lymma) at Manila Ocean Park
Range: Indo West-Pacific, including the Philippines
Habitat: Occurs around coral reef. Migrates in groups into shallow sandy areas during the rising tide to feed: disperses on falling tide to seek shelter in caves and under ledges.
Max Length: 35 cm
Life Span: 8-12 years
Diet: mollusks, worms, shrimps, and crabs
Facts: A colorful stingray with large, bright blue spots on an oval disc and with blue stripes along the tail. Rarely found buried under the sand.
