Dinosaurs in Manila.

Nine gigantic creatures are set to invade our shores come third week of August.

Their names may twist our tongues and their sheer size may be daunting, but dinosaurs never fail to enthrall us.

This is why Robinsons Malls has seen it fit to bring them to our shores through the biggest interactive exhibition of robotic dinosaurs, dubbed as Dinosaurs are Back. After its record-setting tours in both France and Germany, as well as an extremely popular exhibition in Tivoli, Copenhagen, the exhibit is expected to cause a stir in the Philippines.

“This will be the first time that an exhibition of this magnitude will be staged in Philippine grounds, and Robinsons Malls, being the host, is very excited to bring a different and unique show,” says Nilo Mapa, general manager, Robinsons Malls. “The exhibit is not only fascinating, but very educational as well. Exact replicas of dinosaurs from four different time periods, namely, Late Jurassic, Early Cretaceous, Late Cretaceous and Late Permian, will be displayed in Robinsons Place Bacolod from the third week of August, in Robinsons Place Manila from Sept. 12 to 28 and in Robinsons Starmills Pampanga from Oct. 4 to 26.”

Robinsons Malls’ Dinosaurs are Back will feature nine fully automated robotic hydraulic dinosaurs geared with heart pounding movement and sound. They vary in weight from 225 kilograms to 800 kilograms and their sizes range from 1.7 meters x 1.2 meters to 5.6 meters x 2.6 meters. The automated hydraulic robotic dinosaurs in the exhibit are the Tyrannosaurus rex, Deinonychus, Triceratops, Apatosaurus, Apatosaurus baby, Dimetredon, Pachycephalosaurus, Stegosaurus and Stegosaurus baby.

The exhibit will be open daily, mall hours, starting at 10 a.m. “This special event, which is our own brand of ‘eductainment,’ will definitely entice both adults and the young, most specially students who are ‘dino fanatics,’” says Eunice Gonzales, director for marketing and communications, Robinsons Malls.

Extensive research was undertaken by Robinsons Malls’ marcom team to be able to deliver a “real-life experience.” “The giant dinosaurs will be mounted and displayed in a garden-like set-up, copied from their original habitat, plus these will be complemented with a play of lights and sounds,” adds Gonzales.

Full scientific information and standard facts about their names, diets, weight, social habits, habitat and era visitors will be also be included in the display.

Robinsons Malls Dinosaurs are Back is a heart-pounding experience that will surely take every visitor a gigantic step back in time as they take a 360-degree look at the dinosaurs from head to tail. Be educated, be entertained and be awed because in Robinsons Malls’ Dinosaurs are Back exhibit, amazement and fascination never becomes extinct.

Entrance fee is P25. Group tours are accepted.
